This was the worst booking I have made through Booked.net. Filthy ill- maintained lodge in a run down area, close the very close to the railway station. Dont recommend!!
This was the worst accommodation I ever used in anywhere in europe. Dirty dark corridors with depressingly basic room. Dont go anywhere near!!
It was close to the train station and theatre
Room window was very close to wall opposite with a noisy ventilator attached
Very helpful, pleasant and friendly staff. Convenient location for those using british Rail or bus services. Very convenient for shopping.
Lift was very poor and grubby- and did not present a good first impression. Having said that the hotel is currently being decorated and the rooms were nice and clean.
Very handy for Lime Street Station.
Breakfast is rather on the mean side.
Great location, the single room I stayed was amazing, and dint know it could be so neat, with a plasma tv, bed was just okay... I just hope my next booking will be get me same comfort.
Yea. The elevator had a funny smell which I was surprised about but some hours later, a nice air freshner was sprinkled in it..lol.... Although I loved the smell of the air freshner they used (nice choice).
I was amazed by the price. I will admit I wasn't expecting anything special, however I was pleasently surprised my the quality of the room and the central location.
The breakfast wasn't amazing. The crossant was rock hard so I just had cereal. However there was nothing else to fault.
The Hotel was located Close to Liverpool Lime Street Station. Also it is located near Liverpool University. In addition the hotel is only a hop away from City Centre and the many shops available fro the visitor. The hotel staff were very friendly and professional especially the receptionist whio was only too willing to answer any queries we had. We will be back again.
There was nothing special about the accommodation. They are working on the updating of decor etc. Rooms are still very small and to say we had booked a more superior room it was not that much different from the others. But there was a nice varied continental breakfast provided. The staff were pleasant. This would suit students or people who were stuck for say a night's accommodation. It is not somewhere I would return to if I had another option.
The rooms were very minimalistic. Although, did have nice T.V.,S. Not a lot of space for clothing. Basic just shelves and a small cupboard affair. Would need to keep most clothes in suitcase. Reasonable bathroom and fitting though quite tight area and not many shelves. No bath just a shower. Somethimes a lot of noise and disturbance from stag and hen parties after 1a.M. It is not somewhere I would readily recommend to others but it would suffice for one night if need be.
Continental breakfast was good.
Very old building, narrow passageways, smelled of paint! No facecloth in bathroom, or shampoo. Also no Kleenex tissue! Yes I am American! Also the elevator was broken and I was on the third floor...
The pleasantness of the staff.
Huge demolition works directly opposite the hotel - however, this was a matter of unfortunate timing. Again, the hotel was in the process of a change of management, which possibly made things a bit uncertain, like the number of people sitting out on the steps of the hotel.
Good value and location right next to Liverpool Lime Street. Very good size ensuite bathroom. Nice breakfast.
Lack of cupboard in bedroom
Room was perfectly comfortable, lovely big bed for a single and good sized room with a good bathroom. Was clearly recently refurbished in a very nice style.
It is literally right next door to the o2 academy, as in it is attached to it. The lift was very old and worried me but I believe it was being updated during the refurbishments. The night porter who greeted me on arrival was not particularly friendly or approachable. The lock on my room was also very old and stiff and I ended up not being able to let myself out of my own room!
The lord nelson was very friendly relaxed and no hassle I would stay there anytime I am in Liverpool This would be my first choice
The place was very handy to train station and close to city centre
Like everything mind you never had breakfast so cant say to that
on arrival waited 15 minutes for anyone to appear receptionist was not bothered hotel toilet no toilet paper and very dirty lift not working which because i am disabled was a problem the room had no towels no tea coffee milk etc which had to ask for which meant many trips up and down stairs because lift broke which was difficult re my disability.. the hotel was very noisy shouting and screaming all night long so had no sleep. breakfast very poor
